This particular component of the suite is the parsing agent that according to the company Deepmetrix, scans log files, resolves client IP addresses and stores web statistics and geo-corporate RDNS information. This basically means that this is the primary component for the application and it will need to be running if you want properly parsed data. If you don't want this service then you should uninstall the entire LiveStats suite; but, then why did you pay for it? |
