Explanation (?): | The IIS admin service is the heart of Microsoft's Internet serving features. Through this service you are able to configure the different components of Internet content serving, and without this service you will not be able to host HTTP, FTP, NNTP, or SMTP sites. If you are running a server and you need to use any Internet service then you will want to enable this service. If you do not wish to use this service you can safely disable it, however I highly recommend that you should uninstall it through the add/remove components dialog instead. |
